“There used to be millions of wild
salmon in the waters of the Pacific
Northwest. Now, there’s only a fraction
of that. Where have all the salmon
gone?” That’s the question I, Duke Moscrip, owner of Duke’s
Chowder House have been asking lately.
We at Duke’s support the non-profit organization, Long Live
The Kings, who are committed to restoring the wild salmon
and steelhead population and support sustainable fishing in
the Pacific Northwest. For 30 years they have been helping
those who make decisions about salmon to be successful by
providing coordinated, scientifically credible and transparent
solutions. The work of Long Live The Kings puts fish in
rivers and leads to changes in management that protect and
restore wild salmon - the backbone of our Northwest
ecosystems, including our orca whales.
Duke’s Chowder House has established a sterling reputation
for serving only sustainable seafood, receiving the highest
rating in the world for sustainability by Fish2Fork and a 100%
sustainable seafood compliance rating from Smart Catch.
Now is the time to support the efforts of Long Live The Kings.
GiveBIG and support the restoration of our wild
salmon.
If we don’t do it, who will? Let’s not take the risk
that our salmon disappear from our waters. “Sustainability is
personal to me. I will do everything I can to make sure that
we have Wild Seafood for our grandchildren and our
grandchildren’s grandchildren forevermore. Help me by
helping Long Live The Kings. Together we can move
mountains and restore our wild salmon back to our waters.”
