KING FM hosts Marta Zekan and Bryan Lowe prepare to share new performances for
audiences on KING FM 98.1 and online at king.org.
Providing accessible classical music was the
reason Dorothy Bullitt started KING FM in
1947. Today, making classical music acces-
sible to all is more important than ever, and
your support makes it possible as we move
forward.
On the radio at 98.1, KING FM shares this
great music with 300,000 people each week.
But new technologies mean we can do even
more, reaching an additional 100,000 listen-
ers online.
Our six streaming online channels cater
to specialized tastes and bring listeners the
music they want to hear, whenever they want
to listen, through their computers and mo-
bile devices. These include a simulcast of our
on-air program, relaxing classical favorites,
opera, symphonic and next-generation “Sec-
ond Inversion” that rethinks classical with
new and unusual music.
With your support, KING FM makes clas-
sical music accessible to all. Not everyone can
go to a concert, but everyone can listen to
classical music on KING FM, whether on the
radio or through our online channels. Music
lovers who are home-bound, don’t have the
money, live too far away, or just don’t have
the time to attend a live concert can still hear
beautiful classical music at the push of a but-
ton or the click of an app.
Your support also means that KING FM
can serve as the voice of classical music and
the arts. KING FM’s audience has a reach far
larger than that of any single arts organiza-
tion. KING FM’s programming and online
resources feature local artists and organiza-
tions, helping these musicians reach new au-
diences and sell more tickets to live concerts.
In this way, KING FM supports the entire
Northwest arts community.
Through your donation to Classical KING
FM, you are offering convenient, free access
to classical music for a wide range of people
from diverse backgrounds and in different
life situations.
You are also supporting arts organizations
across the Puget Sound area by giving them
a platform through which they can reach a
wider audience.
Donations also help build the classical music
audience of the future, and give outstanding
young musicians a way to receive encourage-
ment and recognition for their talents.
By donating, you are positioning Seattle as
a world-class city and showcasing its thriving
arts community to the world.
For all these reasons and more, you can
be confident that your gift to KING FM will
benefit music lovers in the Northwest and
beyond for many years to come. We invite
you to join as a partner in our vision by your
philanthropic investment in KING FM.

music accessible for all
