Explore, Believe and Post: An Onsite, Offline-Online Game
Students will participate in the first part of the activity onsite at The Wing as one part of their museum experience .
The second part of the activity will occur in the classroom over the next few school days. This is definitely only an
exercise for students to see common ground between classmates—not a test to see if students can convey their
ultimate wisdom in 7 quick sound bites. This should be fun, not stressful.
Materials
• Chalkboard, white board or bare wall
• Post-it notes: yellow for daily ‘posts,’ blue for classmate comments
• Pens and paper
1. The chalkboard, whiteboard or the blank wall has now become your classroom’s Instagram page.
2. Before coming to the Wing Luke Museum, find a classmate to partner with. Someone you can trust to guide you
safely as you remain with your eyes closed.
3. At the Museum—you will be asked to close your eyes and ask yourself “how can I be an example to others?”
4. Take your classmate’s arm. He or she will slowly guide you around the Bruce Lee exhibition until you feel that you
have found your answer. Tell your partner to stop.
5. Open your eyes. No matter what you are standing in front of, consider how this object, person, part of the room etc.
contributes to answering the question.
6. Now switch with your partner.
7. Each student takes 7 post-it notes. Remember the texts of Lao Tzu and the image you saw after being led
through the museum.
8. How do these readings and images combine into your own personal truth? Teach your truth in seven simple
statements. Post one thought every day.
9. Throughout the week, spend a few minutes every day reading your classmates ‘posts’. If something inspires you,
or changes your mind, write them a post-it note comment and stick it under their original ‘post’. Students must write
their name on comments. Any comments without a name or any negative or hurtful comments will be removed.
10. After one week, what parts of your own personal truth resonated with your classmates. How were you inspired by
the words of your classmates?
