The Renton Innovation Zone Partnership connects communities and schools to improve the well-being of children and their academic performance at four elementary schools in the Renton School District: Bryn Mawr, Campbell Hill, Highlands, and Lakeridge. The Preston Vasa Hall represents the long history of the Weyerhaeuser logging industry in the Snoqualmie Valley and the Swedish logging heritage that is Preston. The Hall dates to the early 1900s when it was the Weyerhaeuser Company camp mercantile store in Snoqualmie. It was purchased fromWeyerhaeuser in 1949, dismantled, and rebuilt by Swedish loggers at the current site in Preston, WA, where it continues to serve as a rental hall for the community and the archives of the Vasa Skogsblomman 378 chapter. www.redmondacademy.org Preston VASA Hall Redmond Academy offers singing, dancing, acting, and technical theatre classes for ages 3 and up.
