We operate a 24/7 enhanced shelter in Shoreline, a drop-in day/hygiene center in Lake City and housing outreach services. Our mission is to enrich and inspire our communities through performance, outreach and education. We believe that music unites us all and that a music education should be accessible to all students. The cultures and diversity of our communities makes us stronger, and we strive to represent that diversity. The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc., a private, nonprofit social enterprise founded in 1918, empowers people who are blind, DeafBlind and blind with other disabilities by creating diverse, sustainable and meaningful employment opportunities. The Lois Price Spratlen Scholarship Foundation identifies, encourages and supports excellence in Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nursing. We do this by providing scholarships for psychiatric nurse practitioner students, encouraging community involvement in mental health through community grants, and forming partnerships to reduce systemic inequities that exist in mental health treatment. lwso.org Music From Home concerts invite you to experience storytelling through music. Artists present music reflecting their lived experience while the audience holds space for their stories and grows in community, celebrating works of newly-encountered composers.
