This meant that the Girl Scouts of Western Washington were unable to sell cookies door to door or outside grocery stores, pharmacies and other com- munity hubs. Through some fast and creative thinking, we formed a new partnership with GSWW and became the exclusive headquarters for Girl Scout Cookies sales in the Puget Sound region. We sold more than 250,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cook- ies through July 31, and look forward to continued partnerships with GSWW in the future. School Tools As we shifted our attention to the start of the school year, we recognized that, regard- less of the learning method or setting, as many as 58,000 local students would begin the academic year without basic school supplies or personal hygiene items.We partnered withWorld Vision and STAR 101.5 for our 18th annual School Tools supply drive, quickly adjusting this important program to reflect the changing needs of students and families during the pandemic. Once again, our incredible commu- nity of customers and employ- ees raised $171,000 in school essentials, gloves, masks, hand sanitizer, toiletries, personal care items and nonperishable food for local families.
